First Stop Health

When it comes to your health, one of the best things you can do is build an ongoing relationship with a primary care doctor who empowers you to make informed decisions.

Virtual primary care is a convenient way to build this relationship via phone or video. Patients love that they can save time and money while taking control of their health. Doctors love virtual primary care, too, because it allows them to see their patients more often and when care is most needed.

Let's get to know one of our doctors. Brittany Brooks, MD, is a First Stop Health Virtual Primary Care doctor who is passionate about partnering with her patients to achieve their health goals. Read on to learn about Dr. Brooks and her approach to virtual care.

Why did you choose to become a doctor?
Becoming a doctor started off a childhood dream. I saw how my own doctor, a family physician, helped to make people feel better and wanted to do the same for others.

Where did you attend medical school?
I graduated from Loma Linda University School of medicine and completed Residency at Howard University Hospital in Family Medicine.

How long have you been practicing medicine?
11 years.

What is your medical specialty?
I am board-certified in Family Medicine.

Why do you love virtual primary care?
Virtual primary care allows me to reach patients in the comfort of their homes, which is especially important for those who may not see a doctor due to challenges with childcare, taking time off of work and transportation.

What does care that people love® mean to you?
It means that patients can get the quality care that they need when they need it with reduced barriers to access.

When you're not caring for patients, how do you spend your time?
I love spending time with my family, traveling and learning about diverse cultures, trying new foods and shopping.

What's a fun fact about you?
When I was a kid, I also wanted to become an actress because I enjoyed entertaining people and doing impersonations.
